This depends upon what exactly the OP was asking. If he wants the "actual" usage stats - Longasc has a link to some (and only ANet would know for sure).
If you want peoples personal choices, mine would be:
Ranger
Mesmer
Warrior
Dervish
Assassin
Monk (not played since I got Tahikora)
Necro (not played since I got Olias)
Paragon (became storage)
Ritualist (always was storage)

If you consider only PVE, in the order of lesser to least played: ritualist, assassin, mesmers, and paragon in the bottom.
If you consider PVP in the picture: mesmers, paragons, and assassins get their fair share of play.
I have the feeling Ritualist are stuck in a role of a mule, most of the time, or as gw "barbie and dan".
My take.

I actually run into a whole lot more Rits than I do Mesmers. That's pretty sad, since Mesmers are in all campaigns.

Dear Lord, if i ever see another assassin with the words "Naruto, Sasuke, or Hokage" in their name again ill snap. that and Dervishes with "Reaper, Scythe, or Derv" in their name. in fact, most classes have some common names. Legolas The Ranger anyone?
IME, i see these most commonly in PvE:
Warrior
Necromancer
Monk
Elementalist
Dervish
Ranger
Assassin
Mesmer
Ritualist
Paragon

In PVE, yes, ritualist get to see more play than mesmers and paragon. But PVP is still part of GW, and there Mesmers and Paragons have their time of day.

I think Warriors are played a lot not only because of its playing style, but also because of its gear.
While Paragons would probably be more favored if the men didn't wear skirts.

I've actually heard of this amazing phenomenon teams that use mesmers encounter.

Due to Anet annoyingly practically forcing you to focus on one character for HOM fulfillment, I'd say according to the way I personally play (12 chars) It would be...
1. Monk
2. Ranger
3. Ele
4. Mesmer
5. Everything else equally as unused nowadays.

ah, the mesmer. one of PvP's "lesser known secrets"...
kinda like rangers. many people think rangers, mesmers, and paragons are useless in PvP, then get their asses handed to them by a team of the forementioned.
for example... i was in a team of 4 rangers in TA, (trappers, and a BA interrupter, way back when), and we get a team of 3 warriors and a monk. "LOLOL 4 RANGERS WE'LL PWN YU NUBS ROFL" *all 3 warriors run forward and die horribly in a fiery spikey trap pile*, *BA takes out monk* *we dance around saying "what was that wammo? werent you going to 'pwn' us?". good times.

Hi.
I am a mesmer.
I can divert your spells, shatter your enchants, do party wide enchant stripping, etc, pretty much ruin any chance your team may have at surviving a spike.
